Amanda Thompson serves as an Assistant Principal at Campbell County High School, where she is dedicated to fostering a positive school culture and ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed. With a passion for Career and Technical Education (CTE), college and career readiness, and student achievement, she works closely with students, teachers, and families to create meaningful learning experiences that prepare students for success beyond high school.
Amanda began her career in education in 2008 as a Business Technology teacher at Pigeon Forge High School before spending a year at LaFollette Middle School. She then joined Campbell County High School, where she spent over ten years in the classroom inspiring students, building strong relationships, and helping students develop the skills needed for future success before transitioning into school administration.
A graduate of East Tennessee State University, Amanda earned both her Master's degree and Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree from Lincoln Memorial University. She is passionate about supporting teachers, expanding opportunities for students, and creating an environment where students are challenged, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
